An intimate and in-depth portrait of the legendary soprano, including specially staged studio films of 12 best-loved pieces from Jessye Norman's repertoire.
Filmed in widescreen by German film maker Andre Heller, this is the first new Jessye Norman DVD for many years and is the only porgramme-length, in-depth interview film of a very private artist.
Includes 12 specially-staged films in fantastical studio settings of her best-loved repertoire, of a diverse slection of peices by composers ranging from Purcell to Schoenberg. Each setting was individually designed for this film by renowned artsits including Brian Eno, Arnulf Rainer and Peter Kogler.
Yves Saint-Laurent's garden paradise in Marrakech provides the lush, tropical background for this wonderful DVD.
It will be broadcast on Ovation in August and will be advertised from August-October.
