AUSTRALIAN CAST RECORDING
TRACK LISTING 1 Overture
Over a decade ago a battered old bus affectionately christened Priscilla; Queen of the Desert drove out of Sydney to become the star of one of the most internationally successful Australian movies of all time. Priscilla is now transformed into a $6-million fully staged musical with over 500 costumes, a company of 129 and 27 fabulous disco hits, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Musical. The stage musical has just finished a successful Sydney season at the Lyric Theatre, since its opening on October 7 2006, 500,000 people have attended the spectacular show. Now, Priscilla is opening in Melbourne on October 6 to begin what will certainly be another successful season. To celebrate the opening and to answer the publics demand for a live recorded album, Universal and Priscilla have joined forces to record the Australian Cast in all their fabulous glory. The album replaces the very successful GOLD selling Priscilla Queen of the Desert – Music Inspired by the Musical album. Not only will this new album be snapped up by people who are soon to see the musical – but also by the half a million fans who have already seen the musical and demanded this cd. |

SOUNDTRACK | Hairspray
TRACK LISTING 1. Good Morning Baltimore – Nikki Blonsky
When Big Hair meets Big Dreams, reach for HAIRSPRAY: an all-singing, all-dancing rollercoaster of a movie – which is destined to be this summer’s massive musical mega-hit – and has a soundtrack which is guaranteed to wake you, shake you and make your hair stand on end! And we are pleased to announce that Decca will be releasing this BIG soundtrack! Think Grease, think Hollywood stars singing their hearts out –including teen heart-thob of the moment, Zac Efron (from Disney’s High School Musical), think John Travolta in a dress with a 54DD cup! The Story: Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, has only one passion – dancing. Her dream is to appear on ‘The Corny Collins Show’, Baltimore’s hippest dance party on TV. Tracy (Nikki Blonsky), seems a natural fit for the show except for one not-so-little problem – she doesn’t fit in. Her plus-sized figure has always set her apart from the cool crowd, which she is reminded of by her loving but overly protective plus-sized mother, Edna (John Travolta). That doesn’t stop Tracy because if there is one thing that this girl knows, it’s that she was born to dance. As her father Wilbur (Christopher Walken) tells her, “Go for it! You’ve got to think big to be big.” Check out more about the film and the story on www.hairspraymovie.com In Cinemas: 13 September
