Ti adoro, the most recent of Pavarotti’s twelve original studio albums made during the course of his unparalleled career.
This collection of songs shows Pavarotti's love, as he says, for the ‘diverse multitude of music.’
Pavarotti here crosses over effortlessly from traditional opera to a much lighter style of repertoire arranged and orchestrated by a number of authorities, including Michele Centonze. Pavarotti and Centonze set quasi-operatic pieces alongside Neapolitan waltzes, both romantic and voluptuous orchestrations (Ai giochi addio and Notte), and finally in a superb symphonic adaptation Hans Zimmer's Gladiator theme, a true highlight on this disc.
Featuring Starai con me and Ti adoro (arr. Michele Centonze), this recording was originally released in 2003. The 13-track album, made up of specially arranged and commissioned songs, also includes, as a bonus track, Pavarotti's immortal interpretation of Lucio Dalla's classic Caruso, re-edited with Jeff Beck playing guitar.
"I just loved the time I spent making this recording and it was a big joy to work with Michele Centonze, the producer. I very much hope that you will enjoy sharing this new journey with me.’ Luciano Pavarotti
