In a career lasting almost 40 years, the operatic bass Bruce Martin has taken his place among the great singers of the age. He has brought his incomparable artistry to the great opera roles of Verdi, Mozart and especially Wagner; he has appeared as lover and lovelorn, master and servant, god and demon, vagabond and king. This magnificent double album features not only opera classics but also highlights from the oratorio and art song repertoire, and even musical comedy, spirituals and popular standards: a tribute to the versatility of this Australian living legend.

Fauré’s piano music is utterly captivating in its elegance, lyricism and expressive power. Classically graceful, passionately Romantic, boldly innovative, at times even cheekily mischievous, Fauré is never less than sublime. UK-based pianist Roy Howat has devoted his considerable talent and scholarship to the music of Gabriel Fauré, entering into the spirit of La Belle Epoque as he breathes new life into these jewels of the piano repertoire, some recorded here for the first time.

Now, for the first time, Universal releases a Patrizio Buanne compilation, gathering together 12 of his finest moments. Stylish, sophisticated and elegant, Patrizio Buanne brings charisma aplenty to his reinterpretation of classic 1950s hits – songs made famous by Dean Martin, Paul Anka, Tom Jones , along with the traditional Italian singers. Patrizio’s life is a remarkable story in itself. He’s won countless talent shows, played Elvis onstage and sung for the Pope. And all before he was 20.

Join the dots between the André Rieu market and the Pavarotti market and you have Patrizio Buanne’s market – a familiar favourite with Australians following his concert tours of Australia and the record audiences who’ve watched him on all manner of TV shows from Today to Dancing With The Stars. He’s undoubtedly the Crooner of the Century!
