TRACKLISTING Concerto for 3 Pianos in F major, KV 242 Piano Concerto in D minor, KV 466 One of many Mozart recordings that will be released on Eloquence this Mozart Year, this happy assembly of pianists and conductors sharing the honours for three Mozart concertos makes a welcome return to the Decca catalogue. 'I can almost see Solti with that inimitably alert and gleeful expression that goes with his making music of this fresh and life-enhancing kind' [Concerto for 2 Pianos] 'The finale, a kind of rondo-minuet, is delightful, with energetic keyboard work that nevertheless dances' [Concerto for 3 Pianos] Gramophone |

ARTISTS TRACKLISTING Julius Katchen, that colossus that bestrode the pianistic firmament for all too short a time, recorded the Brahms Handel and Paganini Variations three times, twice in mono and once in stereo. Surprisingly, these much-praised 1958 recordings have never before been issued on CD and are now being made available singly, on Eloquence as well as part of an 8CD 'Original Masters' tribute Decca box. All of Katchen's dare-devilry in the Paganini set comes to the fore. The coupling, Schumann's Études symphoniques, likewise also receives its CD debut. |

TRACKLISTING Lyric Pieces, Op. 54 Wedding Day at Troldhaugen In 1976 Willi Boskovsky, unusually perhaps, made a lovely Grieg record for Decca. About a third of it was briefly issued in the 1980s on Decca's 'Headline' series but now, for the first time, we offer the whole record, with the bonus of Stanley Black's recording of the four Lyric Pieces (on CD for the first time) and the very young Charles Mackerras' Wedding Day at Troldhaugen. The superb Decca sonics - vividly jumping out of the speakers - add considerably to the enjoyment of the performances. 'an attractive Grieg program and the recording is both rich and brilliant' [Boskovsky] Penguin Guide 'a most pleasant selection of Grieg miniatures played with sympathy and taste' [Mackerras] Penguin Guide |

ARTISTS TRACKLISTING A delightful - and generous (80+ minutes) - coupling of two singular symphonies. Grieg's Symphony in C minor is an early effort and the first ever recording of this work with the Bergen Symphony Orchestra and Karsten Andersen makes its first international appearance on CD. The charming Rustic Wedding Symphony, full of good humour and boisterous spirits, has not been available for some time and makes an ideal coupling. 'The Decca recording is truthfully balanced, with good perspective and colour, and detail reproduces with fine definition' [Grieg] Penguin Guide López-Cobos directs a refreshing and attractive reading' [Goldmark] Penguin Guide |
