GREATEST HITS BY THE GREATEST SINGER-SONGWRITER AND ICON OF A GENERATION

The album GREATEST HITS marks the beginning of a creative partnership between DECCA and MORRISSEY which, in addition to this album, will see a brand new album released in late 2008.

GREATEST HITS is the ultimate solo career retrospective spanning the years 1988 to the present day, a period when Morrissey hit his commercial and artistic peak. The album features many classic Morrissey tracks such as Every Day is Like Sunday, the more recent hit Irish Blood, English Heart and the addition of two brand new songs That's How People Grow Up and All You Need Is Me. The leading lyricist of his generation, Morrissey's musical tributes to life in a rain-soaked Manchester, and his lyrics tinged with poignant observations on the social and cultural fabric of England all delivered with characteristic wit, inspired a generation of musicians.  Since the disbanding of The Smiths in 1987, Morrissey's 20-year solo career has established him as one of the UK's greatest musical talents with a back catalogue of eleven albums.

One year after the release of their debut record ‘Betcha Bottom Dollar’ The Puppini Sisters announce the release their second album ‘The Rise and Fall of Ruby Woo’.

Marcella Puppini, Kate Mullins and Stephanie O’Brien led the retro wave in 2006 with their 1940s influenced blend of ‘pop with swing’ and gorgeous sense of glamour and fun. “To Puppini” quickly became a lifestyle and fashion statement as the name became synonymous with fashion, style and allure and audiences embraced the girls’ highly entertaining and original musical performance and the ethos of dressing to impress.

‘The Rise and Fall of Ruby Woo’ is a collection of highly original songs - written by the trio - and extraordinary covers with all the musical arrangements by the three Trinity College of Music graduates. Their trademark watertight harmonies are still present, as is their love of and respect for music from a bygone era, and their sense of wit and humour pervades throughout the record, but on ‘The Rise And Fall Of Ruby Woo’ the listener is able to discover their personalities, both individual and combined, their delicious love of dark absurdity and their joy in all things weird and the wonderful.
